SPECS Foundation successfully launched its Community Garden initiative in Hugo Perez as part of its ongoing commitment to community development and sustainable livelihood programs.

The project was made possible through the generous support of the LGU of Barangay Hugo Perez, which provided a designated space for the garden as well as several fruit-bearing trees and plants to help establish the project. This partnership demonstrates the shared commitment of both organizations to improving the well-being of families and creating opportunities for long-term community growth.

The Community Garden is envisioned as more than just a place to plant crops. It serves as a learning space where children, youth, and families can gain practical knowledge about gardening, environmental responsibility, and sustainable food production. Through this initiative, community members are encouraged to actively participate in cultivating resources that can benefit their households and strengthen community cooperation.

SPECS Foundation extends its heartfelt gratitude to Barangay Hugo Perez for its support, trust, and partnership in making this initiative possible. We look forward to seeing the garden grow and become a source of nourishment, learning, and hope for the community.

As the project continues to develop, we welcome individuals, groups, and organizations who would like to support the Community Garden through donations of seeds, seedlings, fruit-bearing trees, gardening tools, and other agricultural resources. Every contribution helps us cultivate a stronger, greener, and more sustainable future for the families we serve.
