Pagkakaisa sa Bawat Laro, Saya sa Bawat Puso

On September 19, 2026, SPECS Foundation brought together children from our partner communities for a meaningful day of sports, friendship, and shared joy at the Palanyag Gymnasium.
 

With the theme “Palarong Pinoy: Pagkakaisa sa Bawat Laro, Saya sa Bawat Puso,” this year’s Sportsfest celebrated more than just athletic ability. It created a space where children could play together, meet new friends, discover their strengths, and experience the value of working as a team.
 

Throughout the day, the gymnasium was filled with energy and excitement as the children participated in different games and activities. Every race, every challenge, and every cheer became an opportunity to encourage one another and enjoy the moment together.
 

For SPECS Foundation, activities like Sportsfest are part of our commitment to supporting the holistic development of children and young people. Beyond education and basic needs, we believe that children also need safe spaces where they can build confidence, develop positive relationships, and simply enjoy being children.
 

The games also reminded us of an important lesson: winning is not the only measure of success. Sometimes, success looks like having the courage to participate, helping a teammate, encouraging a friend, or finishing a challenge together. These simple moments can help children grow in confidence and learn values that they can carry beyond the playing field.
 

Most importantly, Sportsfest gave our children something they can take with them long after the games ended—memories of laughter, friendship, teamwork, and belonging.
