OUR
PROGRAMS
At SPECS Foundation, we deliver interventions designed to protect vulnerable youth, support families,
and build safer communities.
Residential Care Program (Rescare)

The ResCare Program ensures that the physical, spiritual, emotional, and psychosocial needs of children are met when they cannot safely live with their families. Within a supportive and nurturing environment, residents receive basic necessities—including food, alongside dedicated opportunities for play, leisure, and personal growth.

While the children reside in our facility, our professional staff works closely with their families to facilitate safe, sustainable family reunification. In cases where reconciliation is not possible, we coordinate with other appropriate long-term care facilities.

Why Our Work is Crucial
A key feature of our ResCare Program is our intentional focus on its target beneficiaries. Currently, the majority of homes and shelters in the Philippines exclusively cater to girls who have been abused, neglected, and/or exploited. However, given the rising numbers of Child Abuse, Neglect, and Exploitation (CANE) cases committed against young boys, SPECS has strategically chosen to open its facility to this underserved demographic. With a severe shortage of organizations providing quality care to at-risk boys, the specialized shelter and support we offer fills a critical gap in the social services sector.
Educational Sponsorship Program
The Educational Scholarship Program provides vital financial assistance to underprivileged youth enabling them to stay in school, complete their education, and ultimately secure gainful employment. Beyond monetary support, scholars participate in a holistic development curriculum that includes:

-
Academic Support: Tutorial sessions and digital literacy training.
-
Character & Leadership: Values formation, spiritual nourishment, and leadership training.
-
Life & Career Readiness: Life-skills training, employability skills, and counseling/life coaching.
-
Creative & Physical Outlets: Sports camps, youth camps, and music and theater activities.
-
Family Strengthening: Integrated family and parenting sessions.

Community and Outreach Program (COP)
The Community Outreach Program serves as the primary entry point to SPECS Foundation’s services. COP supports families and helps create safer local communities by providing direct assistance, family services, and localized initiatives. By working directly on the ground, we assess immediate needs and deliver practical, targeted responses.
Our core community outreach services include:

-
Nutritional Support: Direct feeding programs.
-
Immediate Assistance: Daily accommodation and strategic referrals to relevant government agencies.
-
Livelihood Opportunities: We partner with LGU's and Barangay Units and refer our clients to their economic development programs.Â
-
Family Development: Parent intervention programs, youth tutorial sessions, and livelihood training.
-
Local Collaboration: Capacity building for Barangay leaders and joint activities with community schools.
